Help and advice for debtors in event of a claim

Vulnerability

Hambury Tilmond complies with the BS18477, the British standard for “identifying and responding to consumer vulnerability”.

We appreciate that there can be circumstances where individuals are unable to pay their debt in a timely manner. These circumstances can either be short-term or long-term issues.

At Hambury Tilmond, we can assist and investigate your situation, we will normally request further evidence of your claimed vulnerability and can assist in setting up longer term payment arrangements if appropriate and if instructed to, we can liaise with our client on your behalf. Our team can also refer you to a range of advice and support agencies.

Request to pay by instalments

If you are unable to pay in full, it may be possible under certain circumstances to accept a payment plan. For a payment plan to be considered please complete the below income and expenditure form and upload to our ‘CUSTOMER UPLOADS’ tab, including your most recent bank statements, latest wage slips and any proof of benefits.
